The Cobbler's Shop consists of a six man crew chosen specifically for their talents. We have over 100 years of combined experience. Our dedication for quality and pride in our work is our number one priority. Restoring or building a custom car is an expensive and time consuming investment. We make sure this is a pleasurable experience for all involved. This is not a sideline; this is a way of life. We are at your service. |

Here is where the foundation of the work begins. Let's suppose a rustbucket of a car comes in for a full restoration and paint. The whole car is disassembled in the fab shop where all its parts are bagged and tagged. All the major parts are media blasted and metal prepped. Any sheet metal work is done in here. Rust is cut out of a panel and new metal is replaced, or a whole new quarter panel can be replaced, based on the client's preference. We have equipment to handle just about any task, including brake shears, several bead rollers, an English wheel, etc., as we build most of our own patch panels. |

Before a car even reaches the paint stage after all the metal work is performed, panels checked and fitted, then the car is primered with House of
Kolor TM Two Part Urethane. We have found this to be the best system, as it is a self-etching primer and has excellent blocking qualities, plus it has long-lasting capabilities to ensure a great end result. After the car goes through several stages of blocking, it is paint ready for the client's choice of color using a variety of paints, i.e., basecoat, clearcoat, acrylic enamel or urethane. Our painter, prepper and finisher goes over the car several times to ensure all areas are ready, and minor imperfections are taken care of. After the car is painted and allowed to cure for several days in our natural Arizona oven, the car is then sanded and allowed to breathe to ensure all shrinking is completed and then buffed to a lustrous shine. |
